Road Safety

The 37th Edition of the Take Care - Surakemu Maga Thota Programme was successfully held on October 2nd at Vidyaraja National School, Thawalama. This important road safety awareness event is conducted under the Clean Sri Lanka initiative and is jointly organized by the Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat, Independent Television Network (ITN), and the Sri Lanka Police, specifically targeting school children.

During the programme, the Sri Lanka Police conducted both theory and practical sessions focused on road safety measures. These sessions were designed to educate and empower students with the knowledge and skills needed to stay safe on the roads.

The initiative aims to cultivate responsible behavior among young road users and promote a culture of safety in schools across the country. The collaboration of government agencies and media partners plays a crucial role in delivering this impactful message.

The success of the 37th edition at Widyaraja National School marks another positive step in nurturing awareness and responsibility among the future generation of Sri Lanka’s road users.
