In a boost to rural accessibility, the "Special Mobile Program to Provide Public Services from Village to Village" under the "Clean Sri Lanka" national initiative delivered vital services directly to communities in the Mullaitivu District. Leveraging the robust organizational strength of the Registrar General's Department, the program offered several key public services, making government support more reachable for remote residents.
The initiative underscores the "Clean Sri Lanka" vision of fostering a happy nation through grassroots engagement. Services included birth registrations, issuance of birth/ marrage and death certificates, bringing convenience to doorsteps and reducing travel burdens for villagers.
Under the guidance of Registrar General Ms. S. Jaldipan, the program was seamlessly organized by Deputy Registrar General for the Northern Region, Mr. P. Prabahakar, and his dedicated team. "This mobile outreach exemplifies our commitment to inclusive governance," said a department spokesperson, highlighting the collaborative effort to extend services province wide.
The event marks a successful step in the initiative's expansion, with plans for similar programs in other districts. Residents praised the efficiency, noting it as a practical model for future public service delivery.
