 
Under the “Clean Sri Lanka” National Programme, the Eastern Province inauguration of the Attitude Development Workshop for three wheeler (Tuk-Tuk) drivers engaged in the tourism sector was held on October 27 at the auditorium of the Eastern Provincial Management Development Institute, Trincomalee.
Conducted with the aim of promoting professionalism, courteous service, and safety among drivers serving the tourism industry, the initiative seeks to uplift the ethical standards and service quality of three wheeler operators across the island. The Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat plans to conduct a series of similar provincial level training workshops throughout 2025 as part of this islandwide program.
The inaugural event for the Eastern Province was held under the patronage of the Governor of the Eastern Province, Hon. Jayantha Lal Rathnayake. The event was graced by the participation of Eastern Province Chief Secretary Mr. Namal Thalangama, Chairman of the Eastern Province Tourism Bureau Mr. Priyantha Malawanna, Chairman of the Eastern Province Road Passenger Transport Authority Mr. Kitsiri Navaratne, senior officers from the Sri Lanka Police including the Senior Superintendent of Police of the Trincomalee Division, and members of local three wheeler associations.
The workshop focused on building awareness among drivers about the importance of ethical behavior, customer care, and environmental responsibility, supporting the broader vision of the Clean Sri Lanka National Initiative to ensure a cleaner, safer, and more hospitable environment for both local and international visitors.
