 
The Western Province inauguration of the Attitude Development Workshop for three wheeler (Tuk-Tuk) drivers in the tourism sector was held on October 28, 2025, at the Western Provincial Council Complex. Organized by the Western Province Tourism Bureau under the “Clean Sri Lanka” National Programme, the initiative aims to uplift the ethics and service standards of three wheeler drivers who serve tourists across the region.
This series of training workshops, coordinated islandwide by the Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat in 2025, is designed to promote friendly, safe, and high quality services for both domestic and international tourists. Through targeted professional development, it seeks to strengthen drivers’ sense of responsibility, customer care, and ethical conduct all critical to building Sri Lanka’s image as a welcoming destination.
The Western Province launch was attended by key stakeholders including Western Province Council Secretary Mr. Harsha Wijewardhana, Assistant Director of the Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat Mr. Janaka D. Bandara Herath, Public Relations Officer of the Western Province Governor’s Office Mr. Aruna Pradeep Kumara, Coordinating Secretary of the Western Province Governor’s Office Ms. Mihiri Ferdinands, Chairman of the Western Province Tourism Bureau Dr. Mahesh Priyadarshana, Chairman of the Western Province Road Passenger Transport Authority Mr. Gamini Jayasinghe, lecturer in tourism and hotel management Mr. Darshana Jayasinghe, and members of Western Province three wheeler associations.
