As Sri Lanka continues to grapple with the devastating aftermath of Cyclone Ditwah, the Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat has launched a vital relief operation Clean Sri Lanka - Relief Mission aimed at empowering disaster affected communities through crucial projects such as water source clean up.
The program calls on volunteers and donors across the country to join hands in rebuilding livelihoods and restoring access to clean water a lifeline for thousands of vulnerable families whose wells and water sources were contaminated by floodwaters.
"Your labor or resource donation will greatly strengthen our water purification projects. Clean water is essential to restoring the health and hope of those who have lost access," said a Eng. S.P.C. Sugeeshwara, Additional Secretary to the President.
This initiative is part of a broader coordinated response involving government agencies, local authorities, and humanitarian partners to rebuild shattered dreams and foster resilience in affected communities.
Volunteers will play a critical role supporting well cleaning, distributing safe water supplies, and educating communities on hygiene and health safety. Clean Sri Lanka invites everyone to stand united in this mission to bring life back to those in need.
