Another first aid workshop organized by the Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat was held on 20th August morning at Point Pedro Hatili School. About 100 students participated.
The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society provided both theoretical and practical training on how first aid should be properly given. This was a one-day workshop.
The chief guest at the event was Mr. Sathyamurthy Kabilan, Jaffna Municipal Councillor and District Committee Coordinator. Other attendees included Local Government Authority Member Ramanan, Assistant Director Nishantha Alvis of the Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat, education directors, Deputy Principal Udaya Mohan, and the teaching staff.
Hatili School in Jaffna is a prestigious school in the country, currently educating 1,618 students, including 8 students studying Sinhala as a subject. The school was founded in 1861.
