Clean Sri Lanka Supports Emergency Blood Drive in Jaffna

A special blood donation camp aligned with the “Clean Sri Lanka” program was successfully held on December 08, 2025, at the Y.M.C.A. hall in Jaffna, providing crucial support to the national health system following the recent disaster situation. The initiative emerged as an urgent response to the acute blood shortage reported from hospitals across the country.

The camp was jointly organized by the Clean Sri Lanka Jaffna District Committee and the National Intellectuals’ Organization, underscoring a strong partnership between civic groups and national initiatives. Organized under the theme of protecting lives during emergencies, the program sought to replenish blood stocks needed for patients in critical condition.

Residents from Jaffna and surrounding areas, including many young people, attended in significant numbers to donate blood. Their active participation demonstrated the community’s compassion and readiness to stand with fellow citizens in times of crisis, reinforcing the broader vision of Clean Sri Lanka to build a healthier and more humane society.
