Empowering School Principals an awareness Program on Leadership, Road Safety, and Tax Policies Held at Jaffna Hindu College

Targeting school principals who bear great responsibility in shaping the lives of Sri Lanka’s future generation, an awareness program was conducted to develop their mindsets, foster positive motivation, and raise awareness about road safety and government tax policies. This program was jointly organized by the Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat and the Northern Province Ministry of Education.

The event took place on 19th August at Jaffna Hindu College and was attended by 300 school principals as part of the “From the Heart to Jaffna” program series.

The program was honored by the presence of Hon. Nagalingam Vedanayagam, Governor of the Northern Province; the Coordinator of the Jaffna District Coordination Committee; Jaffna Municipal Councillor Kabilan Sathyamoorthy; the Secretary and Director of Education of the Northern Province Ministry of Education; Mr. Dulip Somarathna, Director (Ethics) of the Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat; and Mr. Dasun Wijesekera, Director (Coordination) of the Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat.

Resource contributors included Dr. A.C. Rahim, a visiting lecturer from the Universities of Kelaniya and Colombo; Ms. Sugandhi, Assistant Director of the Department of Inland Revenue; and Mr. Jedudasan, Deputy Police Inspector of the Road Safety and Traffic Division of the Sri Lanka Police.

The program was supported by Jaffna Hindu College and FayaFirst Insurance, with media support provided by the Media Division of the Northern Province Governor’s Office.
