Follow-Up Clinic for Cataract Patients Conducted Successfully Under Clean Sri Lanka's Social Pillar

Follow up Clinic

As part of the ongoing social care program running islandwide, a follow-up clinic for 106 patients who underwent 'cataract surgery' was recently held at the Nikawewa Regional Hospital. This important health intervention took place under the Social Pillar of the Clean Sri Lanka National Program.

This program, carried out with support from both public and private sectors, underscores the commitment to improving healthcare access and outcomes across the island. A delegation from the Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat, including Director (Social) Mr. Kapila Senarath, participated actively in the event.

The clinic provided essential post surgery care and monitoring to the patients, demonstrating the program’s holistic approach to community health, combining medical care with sustained social support.

The Clean Sri Lanka initiative continues to foster comprehensive development across environmental, social, and ethical pillars aiming for a cleaner, healthier, and ethically aware nation.
