Welcome to Clean Sri Lanka

New Phase of the “Soba Sip Wadula” Project Launched at Pawattakulam Ganeshwara Maha Vidyalaya, Vavuniya

Soba Sip Vadula

Another significant phase of the "Soba Sip Wadula" project, carried out under the ethical pillar of the Clean Sri Lanka programme, was officially launched at Pawattakulam Ganeshwara Maha Vidyalaya in Vavuniya. The initiative aims to nurture a sensitive new generation that deeply loves and respects nature.

The project is a collaborative effort involving the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education, the Sri Lanka Hadabima Authority, and S-Lon PLC’s tree foster care programme. It focuses on integrating environmental ethics and green learning environments within schools.

The inauguration was attended by officials from the Northern Province Ministry of Education, the Provincial Department of Education, and representatives of the Sri Lanka Hadabima Authority along with other key stakeholders.

This expansion marks an important milestone in the nationwide effort to foster environmental consciousness and moral values among schoolchildren. The project encourages students to develop respect for nature through hands-on activities and creating green zones at their schools, contributing to a sustainable future for Sri Lanka.
