The inaugural ceremony of the "Soba Sipwadula" programme in the Central Province with parallel to the National Programme was officially launched on October 02nd, under the patronage of the honorable Governor, Prof. Sarath B. Abeykoon, at Kawudu palalla Sinhala junior school, Matale.

The core purpose of this programme is to integrate the natural environment with educational settings to foster the moral values and cognitive development of children, creating a sensitive and humanitarian future generation.

The event was attended by a large number of officials including the Chief Secretary and Education Secretary of the Central Province.
