Take Care - සුරැකෙමු මඟතොට

As part of the government’s flagship initiative to raise awareness among future generations about proper road usage, another phase of the “Take Care - සුරැකෙමු මඟතොට” project, under the Clean Sri Lanka initiative, was successfully held on 4th July at Ruwanwella Rajasinghe Madya Maha Vidyalaya in the Kegalle District of Sabaragamuwa Province.

This important event was conducted with the valuable support of independent television media networks (ITN) and active participation from several key government institutions, including the Ministry of Education, Sri Lanka Police, the Department of Motor Traffic, and the National Council for Road Safety.

Distinguished guests in attendance included Mr. Darshana Vaidyaratna, Chairman of the Ruwanwella Pradeshiya Sabha; Mr. Lionel Harischandra, Regional Director of Education; Mr. H.M.A.S. Herath, Assistant Superintendent of Police; Mr. D.R.C. Priyantha, Officer in Charge; and Mr. Lasantha Manathunga, Principal of the school, along with several other dignitaries.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 500 schoolchildren representing various schools within the Dehiovita Education Zone.
