Aiming to establish a drug-free and healthy society, the third phase of the community-based mobile program for drug prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation, organized by the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board under the Clean Sri Lanka initiative, was held on 24th July 2025 at the Boralla Wanathamulla Sahaspura Housing Complex.
The inaugural ceremony of this event, held under the patronage of Hon. Sunil Watagala, Deputy Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs, was accompanied by a delegation representing the political authorities, including Dr. Najith Indika, Member of Parliament in Colombo District, Mr.Hemanta Weerakoon, Deputy Mayor of Colombo Municipal Council, as well as representatives from the Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat, including Director (Ethics) Mr. Dulip Somarathna and Director (Coordination) Mr. Dasun Wijesekera.
Also present at the occasion were Senior Superintendent of Police for the Western Province Mr. Sanjeewa Dharmarathna, along with officials from the Sri Lanka Police, Bureau of Rehabilitation, National Dangerous Drugs Control Board, Department of Community Based Corrections and several other institutions and stakeholders.
