With the aim of creating a future generation that is environmentally conscious and loving towards nature, the Urban Forest Plantation Project is being implemented with the support of S-lon Lanka Private Limited, affiliated with the capital Maharaja Group of Companies, under the 'Tree Planter' program.

The second phase is scheduled to commence on 17th September 2025 at 9:00 AM near the land area close to Thotalanga Sirimavo Bandaranaike Mawatha.

The project initiation will be undertaken with the participation of the Honorable Ministers Hon.Anura Karunatilaka, Minister of Urban Development, Construction and Housing; Hon.Sunil Gamage, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports; Hon. Anton Jayakody, Deputy Minister of Environment; Colombo Mayor Hon Vrayi Balthisar; and the Secretary to the President Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumaranayake.
